Electric Loco Shed, Barauni is a motive power depot performing locomotive maintenance and repair facility for electric locomotives of the Indian Railways, located at Barauni of the East Central Railway zone in Bihar, India. It is situated adjacent to Garhara railway station, about 4 km from Barauni Junction railway station (BJU) – a major railway junction of Bihar.
The Electric Loco Shed was inaugurated on 18 September 2020. It is Bihar's first electric locomotive shed, and is equipped with a CNC underfloor wheel lathe for wheel reprofiling of locomotives and coaches.[1][2]
