- @Teamsgnr123: - Hi there. I've rechecked it and I agree with the reviewer - Wikipedia, google & ImDB are a combination of unreliable/Original research. Of the other two sources, there just isn't enough in-depth coverage. Telentrack may also be unreliable. Have a read of Musician notability to see what has to be reached. - (edit conflict) @2405:204:B38F:F471:0:0:16AF:58B0: - Hi there. Unfortunately the original reviewer was correct, there just isn't any high quality sourcing at all, and musician notability requires multiple high quality sources. Nosebagbear (talk) 09:50, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thalapathy 63 is an upcoming tamil film starring Thalapathy Vijay, Nayanthar and directed by Atlee Kumar.
- @103.21.76.38: - Hi there. The key bit is "upcoming" - Wikipedia doesn't like future articles on unpredictable things - this film has only just begun its principal photography - anything could happen! Critically, because it hasn't been made yet, it's very difficult to pass film notability as it usually requires multiple reviews, which obviously can't be written till the film is finished.
- Please stop re-submitting the film until it has been finished. Nosebagbear (talk) 09:53, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thalapathy 63. See also notability for future films. Future films are almost never notable before they start photography, and are only notable when they are in photography if something is notable about the photography itself. User:Athu1, User:103.21.76.38, and others have been very aggressively trying to use Wikipedia to promote the plans for this film. One draft has been rejected and one article went to a deletion discussion and was deleted. Any further efforts to use Wikipedia to promote this film before it satisfies film notability may result in more deletions or in blocks. Robert McClenon (talk) 04:19, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I submitted a revised version of this draft over 1 month ago but I have not heard anything back yet. Is this normal?
Gemma9673 (talk) 12:22, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- You haven't actually submitted it for review, but I can tell you now it will likely be declined, because it reads like an advert and has no independent sources. Theroadislong (talk) 12:32, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi There,
Thanks for your efforts and time in reviewing and providing direction and information.
I was hoping you could provide a bit more insight about the notability of several similar pages and help identify the differences missing for the page I'm submitting.
Such pages already published which have similar levels of notability:

- Hi Darkfires007. Although it is natural to learn by example, it is safer to work from the official guidelines, in this case Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). Wikipedia is forever a work in progress. It contains high quality articles and poor quality articles. The existence of articles that do not meet Wikipedia's policies and guidelines does not mean they are welcome here. It may simply mean that no one has gotten around to deleting them yet. They are not a good excuse to create more such articles. The essay WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS may help you understand why. If you wish to learn from example articles, be sure to use only Wikipedia's best. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:12, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

- @John West (X): - Hi there, and welcome to Wikipedia. Creating articles is extremely tough. I would suggest reading Referencing for beginners, practising in a few articles before even considering returning to your draft. There are currently several reasons this draft was rejected, and many of them are to do with sourcing issues Nosebagbear (talk) 20:47, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Alphaprime47 (talk) 20:54, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This was my first page i will try to make up to Wikipedia standards, will edict the article and will change the undesirable parts.
I am uncertain as to whether I am permitted (as an autoconfirmed user with over 400 edits) to move a completed draft into mainspace on my own initiative. Alphaten (talk) 22:44, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Alphaten (talk) 22:44, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- @Alphaten: - yes, any auto-confirmed user can create an article by moving it to mainspace. While you'll be able to find it internally immediately, it will have to go through the New Page Patrol before being indexed and generally visible online. This will probably take a bit longer since AfC-passed articles generally tick all the boxes quite cleanly. However, if you're concerned that the AfC queue will make a delay you'd rather avoid and confident the article is fine, you can move it. Nosebagbear (talk) 23:56, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks for the fast reply Nosebagbear. I am confident the Erdödy draft now meets all requirements, while being in no special hurry to see it published. It's simply that publishing it in mainspace might stop me from obsessively polishing it, as I seem to have spent the last 5 days doing... Alphaten (talk) 00:02, 1 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
