I can't tell whether this is either purely humourous or a hoax, but while it is entertaining, Wikipedia has to be reliable and this article does not appear to be so. Were it actually in existence then you would need multiple reliable sources (such as a news organisation) that discussed it in detail to demonstrate it.

There is a previous submission for Marcelo Serrano that was twice rejected. I was asked to start this new one, but it had that he was a coach added to it. Since the other submissions were rejected, is it possible to have this be the only one listed as "Marcelo Serrano" or is that no longer possible?

Hi Tewesryan. "Asked to start this new one" by whom? It would have been better to contribute to Draft:Marcelo Serrano rather than start the new Draft:Marcelo Serrano (soccer coach). You could merge the latter into the former, and should if you used anything from the earlier draft to create the later one, but otherwise it isn't essential. Draft:Marcelo Serrano will not be deleted simply because it currently appears abandoned or because there is another draft on the same topic. If a draft on the topic is eventually accepted, it may be published as Marcelo Serrano regardless of the name of the draft. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:27, 4 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to delete all the photos that I uploaded on the above Draft on August 3, 2018, because, according to Dan arndt, the content of this submission includes material that does not meet Wikipedia's minimum standard for inline citations. He requetsed me to kindly cite my sources using footnotes, which I did not understand/have. So since I don't know how to delete uploaded photos, I am requesting your help Sir/Madam. This may be my first and probably only submission. Am trying to post a page regarding my sister. She died eight years ago of Ovarian Cancer. I believe she should be noted because she had received many national and local (Minnesota) awards for her work in women's sports. She was one of the first women Athletic Directors at a high school in Minnesota, is in at least three Athletic Halls of Fame. She also has a local high school athletic field named after her. All of this is information that is shown in high school and college alumni magazines and local news papers along with some on line references. So, what did I do wrong? Hi Popeye547. Barb Lehman sounds like a credit to the community. Her undoubted accomplishments, however, do not rise to the level that would make her a suitable subject for an encyclopedia article. Wikipedia seeks to have articles about individual who are in national and international halls of fame more than local and state ones. It aims more for top Olympic and professional coaches than for high school ones.

Wikipedia requires in-depth coverage in reliable, independent, secondary sources to demonstrate notability (appropriateness for inclusion). Two of the cited sources are not in-depth coverage, they only list her name. The third is a high school publication, something like an alumni magazine. Such a source is directed at a limited audience and lacks independence, as its purpose is to portray the school's staff and students in a favorable light. It isn't the Star Tribune or Sports Illustrated. Where draft User:Popeye547/sandbox goes wrong is with the depth and independence of the sources it cites.

As her sister, you have a conflict of interest that may keep you from judging objectively whether she belongs in an encyclopedia. I encourage you to consider alternative outlets, such as FamilySearch for this content. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:12, 7 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am excited about getting close to publishing my World Wood Day article and have been through a number of revisions to make it better. This is my first article and I need some help to make sure I have addressed the concerns in the past. I addressed the concerns in my talk page. Can someone look at my article and let me know if I am close to publication? I really appreciate your help.

Here are my comments: Thank you for taking the time to comment on my article. We both want the best finished product for Wikipedia. I think we have resolved the Facebook as a resource issue (I deleted all references to Facebook). I believe now that Wikipedia feels that World Wood Day and the International Day of Forests are two separate organizations and an article for each is in the best interest of the readers and Wikipedia, and finally I have made a satisfactory case that there is no conflict of interest in my biography and talk page as a Wikipedia editor has suggested.

Concerning the notability issue I would like to point out a few items.

1. The President of Nepal opened the World Wood Day ceremony in Kathmandu .

2. While it is true that I have referenced some "in -bubble" sources as you said, I would point out that there are also several sources that are not websites or special interest publications but are independent news agencies.

3. The International Union of Forest Research Organizations and the Society of Wood Science and Technology are both highly regarded organizations by natural resource professionals and have hundreds of member. Citing their websites should be fine.

4. Over 400 participants from over 100 different countries have participated in each World Wood Day since it began in 2013.

5. The two criteria for Nonprofit organizations as defined by Wikipedia are: 

Non-commercial organizations[edit source]

"Organizations are usually notable if they meet both of the following standards: 1.The scope of their activities is national or international in scale. 2.The organization has received significant coverage in multiple reliable sources that are independent of the organization."

I believe the WWD has met both these criteria.

6. I have been objective in relating the events as they have occurred, much as a reporter would do. As I mentioned in my biography I do volunteer for the International Wood Culture Society so I believe in their mission. If you can specifically give me an editorial comment in my article please let me know and I will correct it.
