Hello, I am in need of help with creating a wiki page for Universal Capital Bank AD Podgorica. I browsed through the articles created for other banks operating in Montenegro and i now i am confused as to why my submission is getting declined. They stated that i need all in depth third-party validation/reference for the article to pass, thus i included references from the Central Bank of Montenegro (which is the main regulatory body for financial system in my country) and references from Montenegro Stock Exchange (on which the bank is an active member). I even included news articles covering certain bank actions with references from sources that have been validated on Wikipedia (meaning they have an article about them on Wiki, in this case i am refering to the newspaper Vijesti) Naz081 (talk) 07:18, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Our notion of "notability" for corporations requires something more than regulatory references or press reports of routine activities. You can find more detail on our requirements at WP:NCORP, which is our guideline on the notability of organizations and companies. Of particular interest will be the section on "Primary criteria". Regarding your follow-up question below, I agree that the other article has not demonstrated notability, either. I woul dlike to add a photo to the page 'Eric Pasquier' that i have just submitted for review. I am the marketing in charge of Eric Pasquier's PR and the photo i have is of very good quality but was not taken by myself, it was taken by a professional photographer.

Hello, Sophie. Our apologies for the delay in response, and thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. The procedure for uploading images can be complex. You might want to begin learning about the process by reading WP:Uploading images. But frankly, I don't think adding an image to your draft is the best use of your time right now. Your draft does not demonstrate that the subject is "notable" in the sense that Wikipedia uses that word. More importantly, it is a biography of a living person that does not contain any references. As such, it is liable to be deleted with little warning. You might want to read WP:Citing sources and WP:Notability (people). The first reading will show how to add references to your draft; the second will help you determine the type of sources that will need to be found. I hope this response has been helpful. First I know you guts are busy, so thank you for your time in advance.

I am a novice and frustrated because trying obtaining knowledge here as a Wikipedia author has being very hard to decipher the messages from the reviewers, which are vague and site no specific references to the article I have submitted.

Can you give me an example on how to reference the key claims to notability, maybe the article should be about Richard Ross The owner of Home Resturant? Does solve the notability issues?

Richard Ross owned the Home Restaurant and John Lennon frequented the Restaurant at a time when Nixon wanted to deport Lennon from the USA. Richard Ross and Lennon became close friends from the first meeting at Home Restaurant. Lennon proudly wore the Home T shirt in Concert and in photographs taken at his home at the Dakota in NYC.

May Pang who wrote about her affair with John Lennon which was called the "Lost Weekend" in her book Loving John: The Untold Story https://www.amazon.com/Loving-John-Untold-May-Pang/dp/0446379166

May Pang was a regular at Home Resturant and mentions in her book the many meetings at Home Restaurant and the deep relationship between John Lennon and Richard Ross. May Pang mentions in her book how Richard Ross hid John Lennon and Yoko at the Woodstock home from the FBI and Nixon.

The Newspaper articles I referenced below show that Restaurant did exist and most importantly that John Lennon gave Richard Ross the owner of Home Restaurant, the famous White suit that he (John Lennon) wore on the Abbey Road Album Cover.

I want to know how to include newspaper articles (from NYT, LA VANGUARDIA, and so) that no have online version because they are in the paper version of newspaper or you need to be logged after monthly subscription. They will fix this references problems. Also, I want to know if I can make some changes into the article and then make a re-submission. Thank you

Hi Parauleira. You seem to have some familiarity with {{cite web}} templates. Another template in the same family, {{cite news}}, can be used to cite newspaper articles, whether online or offline. Template:Cite news/doc explains all the options. A typical example would be:

Although not required, it's helpful when a source is offline to use the quote parameter to show the sentence or two you're paraphrasing.

You are welcome to re-submit the draft after improving it. Take your time and try to make it as good as you can. Concentrate on demonstrating that he meets WP:ENT. As you add sources to prove that, also remove poor sources. IMDB, for example, is user-generated, so not a reliable source. The long list of minor festivals should go, as they emphasize that the productions he's been in are non-notable - they've only played minor festivals instead of receiving wide critical acclaim. Do your best to conform to the manual of style and proofread carefully.
