Where is the issue taking place?: programming languages

Who's involved?: Primarily myself and User:Derek farn

What's going on?: Derek farn is reverting changes without discussion, including sarcastic edit summaries, and most recently said "I think this article is current under siege by a few people with a small amount of knowledge and an unwillingness to spend time reading up on this subject."

Am I reverting changes without discussion or is Ideogram making ill considered changes without knowledge of the subject? The discussion and history log is available for people to read and make up their own minds. Derek farn 09:23, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Folks, I've looked through the history of this article and it looks to me like a relatively simple disagreement over what should be in there. This will be easily solved if everyone takes a step back, a deep breath and approaches things in a different way. Rather than making edits to the article, if you spot something you want to change, post your proposed edit to the talk page and discuss it between you all, then when you've agreed, make the edit to the article. That way everything is discussed and sorted out without having to rely on edit summaries to explain what you're up to.
