Oppose. The sport which these people play is called Gaelic football. The players are called "Gaelic footballers". Every category for them includes the full name of the sport.

Nominator's rationale: I had originally proposed this as a speedy but missed a slightly more complex move history, so bringing it here for full discussion. The main article was moved to "New Left in China" in 2017 on the grounds of conforming to the "[political ideology] in [country]" standard and the category was itself moved consequent to this renaming. I'm proposing it as a CfD rather than just waiting for it to be stable because "New Left in China" is actually a potentially inappropriate name as I'll try to explain.
I moved the main article back to Chinese New Left today because "Chinese New Left" is a fixed phrase (2:1 split on Google Scholar) and not merely "the section/influence of the New Left in China". As the article explains, some members of the CNL explicitly dissociate themselves from the New Left as such, so "New Left in China" is a slightly problematic topic header: they're not the Chinese branch of the New Left in the way that, say, liberals in China are just Chinese people who subscribe to liberalism. "Chinese New Left" refers to a specific group, "New Left in China" can refer to either that group or Chinese people who follow the Western New Left, which has a separate history and etymology.

Support. If we already have Jewish socialists and Christian socialists, we might as well keep the category for muslims. This is a subcat of Category:Islamic socialism, so this intersection of ideology and religion makes sense due to the existence of Islamic socialism. Additionally, many brands of socialism are explicitly atheist in nature. Finally, the rename will allow us to expand the scope of the category to folks who are both muslim and socialist while not necessarily being Islamic socialists specifically. The same goes for Category:Muslim feminists per nom. –MJL‐Talk‐☖22:05, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Category of only two pages. We have generally been much more restrictive about increasing categorization of disambiguation pages than we have with respect to articles, and a category with only two topics can serve little purpose in any context. bd2412T22:02, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Delete, we should not categorize disambiguation pages at all, assuming their various targets are already categorized appropriately. However if merged as per nom, please note that the Economic census dab page does not belong in a mathematics category. In that case only the statistics dab page should be moved to Category:Mathematics disambiguation pages. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:21, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose - the rationale (on the category talk page) is not particularly convincing. Jeff Baxter is described as a member for 2 years as are several others. Session musicians should be pruned, of course. Oculi (talk) 00:26, 29 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Promotional categorisation. Long description of how wonderful these ambassadors are but only one biographical article and no article on the topic. Uncategorised. Rathfelder (talk) 08:41, 9 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
