The result was delete. Consensus of the discussion is that this is not appropriate as a list. No prejudice against creation of a non-list article about the use of ray tracing in games, or including material about gaming uses in the Ray tracing (graphics) article. WP:INDISCRIMINATE list. There is no explanation of how it is relevant to a general audience outside of a marketing bullet point. The games should also probably be removed from the category as well. I mean, we don't have a category for "3D games" or "games using a lighting engine". ZXCVBNM (TALK) 16:41, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

- Yes, they give notability, but since ray tracing is going mainstream as a game technology, the list is sooner or later going to include all games using major 3D engines. If this were a passing fad it would be another case, but since this is going to get deleted sooner or later, I'd much rather we write a proper prose article (not omitting the notable first games). - So you want to delete it because in the future it might become common. If that happens then it can be deleted then, but right now this is a notable thing. Dream Focus 16:19, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete as indiscriminate list that can only grow. We have categories for this purpose. The list doesn't really provide any additional encyclopedic or even useful information. Half the game articles don't even mention ray tracing. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 22:47, 29 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - per nom. Videogameplayer99 (talk) 21:26, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep And rename per Dream Focus. 172.56.28.46 (talk) 02:40, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - Open to renaming, changing scope, or draftify. It doesn't seem any more WP:INDISCRIMINATE than what's on Lists of video games or Outline of video games. It does need much WP:IMPROVEment. Real-time Ray Tracing has been a long term goal in computer graphics. StrayBolt (talk) 03:31, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per WP:INDISCRIMINATE. Sergecross73 msg me 11:33, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Incorporate into Ray tracing (graphics). The article's information could be added to a section on the article for Ray Tracing, as a list of notable games that use ray tracing. Jeb3Talk at me here 13:49, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per Hellknowz' arguments. An indiscriminate list that is better suited as a category. Rorshacma (talk) 19:47, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
