Topic has little to no WP:SIGCOV in reliable sources. The article is an unreferenced stub that has changed little since it was created more than a decade ago. A search turned up Hellebuyck, Chuck (2008). Programming The Basic Atom Microcontroller. Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. ISBN 978-1-4404-7976-2., which is a self-published book, and Kelemen, Michal; et al. (2014). "Rapid Control Prototyping of Embedded Systems Based on Microcontroller". Procedia Engineering. 96: 215–220. doi:10.1016/j.proeng.2014.12.146. which is a short description in a small, defunct engineering journal. • Weak keep The Physical computing : sensing and controlling the physical world with computers has fairly significant how-to coverage, including an appendix section about the chip, including 41 textual hits for "atom basic". This issue of Nuts and Volts (also mentioned here [1]) has an article by the author of Programming The Basic Atom Microcontroller (archive link: [2]) where he mentions that book which gives it a bit more weight; I wonder if the book meets WP:EXPERTSPS since the author seems to be something of an expert for embedded systems. There are also many passing mentions and/or mentioning it was used in a product in magazines such as Silicon Chip], Elektor Electronics, and SERVO. Skynxnex (talk) 15:45, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'd agree "Physical computing" book looks like a good source. However, while it's quite likely the programming author has some expertise, there's significant problems with WP:IS, as the Nuts and Volts articles direct readers to buy the Basic Atom through his own website and buy his self published book on the topic. Since most of the sources mention the ATOM in direct comparison to the BASIC Stamp, perhaps readers would be best served by merging any content to there? 〈 Forbes₇₂ | Talk 〉 04:09, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
