In February 2024, a new version of the song was recorded by Hope Creators, an Emirati initiative funded and sponsored from United Arab Emirates' government, following a resurgence of popularity due to the Gaza humanitarian crisis during the Israel–Hamas war. The recording features vocals by 12 artists, namely Abu, Assi El Hallani, Balqees, Majid Al Mohandis, Mohammed Assaf, Saber Rebai as well as, from the original version, Ahllam, Ahmed Fathi, Assala Nasri, Ehab Tawfik, Omar Al-Abdallat and Walid Toufic.^[1] The new version faced controversies and aroused disapproval and outrage from the viewers for removing all the parts that were related to Palestine as well as important events in the Arab World history such as Jamal Abdel Nasser's resignation which were present in the original version.^[2][3][4]
