Qais Khan is a Belgian actor and filmmaker known for his work in international television and cinema. He is recognized for his role as Mohammad Ballochi in the Emmy-winning Apple TV+ series Tehran, Kazini in the Bollywood film Bell Bottom, and Nur in the award-winning short film Nur, which he also wrote and directed.
Qais Khan was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, and later moved to Belgium, where he obtained citizenship through mérite exceptionnel in the field of Art, awarded by the government of Belgium.
Khan began his career in theater, where he spent several years refining his craft and performing in various productions. He transitioned to filmmaking with the film Nur, in which he played the lead role while also serving as its writer, director, and producer. The film received multiple awards at international film festivals and marked a significant moment in Khan's career.
Following the success of Nur, Khan appeared in the Apple TV+ espionage thriller Tehran, which won an International Emmy Award for Best International TV Series. He then took on the role of a Kazini in the Bollywood action film Bell Bottom. His upcoming Netflix project is set to release in February 2025.
Beyond his acting career, Khan is currently developing a creative hub aimed at supporting actors and filmmakers through training, resources, and industry connections.
