¶ I would like to add that there are several more Hebrew unicode characters, including the Biblical accents, special letters (such as extra-wide), and other characters. See, for example:

@Esperfulmo: Re: this revert Which characters are you seeing where "wiki changes them to other characters"? I did not see any on a brief visual scan. Hi Beland and thanks for bringing this here. Well, it happens often that a few characters are rendered incorrectly or nearly the same by default fonts (e.g. in Arabic as well). In this article's example is precomposed letters which contain their diacritics, when saved in a wiki, they are converted to letters plus diacritics, hence they lost (not all of them apparently). The only way to ensure they are not lost is by typing their code. Also, the diacritics on their own are usually lost, because they are not designed to be displayed standalone, so when we open the editor, they are often stuck or hidden behind brackets or so. Ah, I see that when I copy "בּ" into the wikitext editor here from the article (where it's still a single HTML entity) if I copy it out again it's a string of two characters, but copying it directly from the article keeps it as one character. How unexpected! Thanks for explaining and putting in the {{not a typo}} markup. I'll watch out for that in future HTML entity scans. -- Beland (talk) 03:12, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
