ARA, section, reflist [multiple issues] July 23, 2013 Fixed
Hi JJ. Thank you for ARA, great tool. Forgive me if the following matter has been brought to your attention before, I did a search and could not find it mentioned. When editing this section I noticed that ARA suggested to fix a mising reflist. The article as such has a Reference setion with a reflist. Best, Sam ๐ค08:04, 23 July 2013 (UTC) Done[reply]
Hi again JJ. Another little thing that I can't figure out if has been reported previously. I had added a ref to Ferrari F2004 and ARA gave me the "missing Reflist fix" warning. Here it what seems to be the case. Done
The culprit seems to be {{Commons category}} placed before the See also list. If {{Commons category}} is moved below the list, there is no problem. I have left the Ferrari F2004 article untouched for your testing. If you want to add a ref and remove the unref tag, you can use this source: <ref name="Acerbi2006">{{cite book|author=Leonardo Acerbi|title=Ferrari: A Complete Guide to All Models|url=http://books.google.com/books?id=AcadRoNSWeEC&pg=PA361|accessdate=2 August 2013|year=2006|publisher=MotorBooks International|isbn=978-0-7603-2550-6|pages=361โ|quote=The Ferrari F2004 looked like a logical evolution of the previous season's F2003-GA, at least as far as its exterior lines were concerned. Similar problem, only now the Reflist gets too far down and (sort of) "violates" WP:ORDER: Try insert this source <ref name="ArmstrongClark2008">{{cite book|author1=Kate Armstrong|author2=Michael Clark|author3=Chris Deliso|title=Greek Islands|url=http://books.google.com/books?id=4PDWSOx4lUwC&pg=PA128|accessdate=2013-08-07|year=2008|publisher=Lonely Planet|isbn=978-1-74104-314-3|pages=128โ|quote=At least three ferries daily leave Andros' main port of Gavrio ... Apart from the flurry of ferry arrivals it is very low key and a touch drab ...}}</ref> in article Gavrio and then click the "Missing Reflist Fix". Reflist is below the stub template. I hope I don't sound like a stickler when I mention these cases for you. ARA is a real time saver, and I use it daily. Best, Sam ๐ค07:06, 7 August 2013 (UTC) Done[reply]
One more in Graphical timeline from Big Bang to Heat Death. The comment outside square brackets in the last See also entry seems to be the challenge here. Useful ref: <ref name="Betts">{{cite book|author=Patrick Betts|title=Astrophysics|url=http://books.google.com/books?id=k8WShzLxoYYC&pg=PA234|accessdate=14 August 2013|publisher=PediaPress|pages=234โ|id=GGKEY:PHFJL5YKE00}}</ref> - Best, Sam ๐ค08:46, 14 August 2013 (UTC) Done[reply]
Hi again JJ. In article Dato' Keramat LRT station I noticed, that when the section heading for External links is written with cap L, ==External Links==, fixing a missing reflist with ARA will put ==References== below the EL section. Best, Sam ๐ค10:04, 22 August 2013 (UTC) Done[reply]
Invalid ref position function error October 4, 2013 On hold until error occurs again
I know the invalid ref position function has a problem of always picking the first instance of <ref> tags when there is a continuing problem of </ref>. instances in the article. โ JJJ(say hello)17:37, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The reference group is added, but I think there is a problem with the unnecessary ref groups function that is displaying an 'undefined' fix link. Done โ JJJ(say hello)20:34, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Should add function to modify "unreferenced" and "no footnotes" tags October 23, 2013 Added
If ARA adds a {{reflist}} and a {{no footnotes}} is present alter it to {{more footnotes|date={{subst:CURRENTMONTH}}} {{subst:CURRENTYEAR}} }}, or if {{unreferenced}} is present alter it to {{refimprove|date={{subst:CURRENTMONTH}}} {{subst:CURRENTYEAR}}}}. -- PBS (talk) 17:43, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Half done@PBS I added a function to the script to remove the tags if <ref> tags and the {{reflist}} template is present, but it won't add {{refimprove}} because not all articles need more references. That/(those) added citations could have completely verified all statements in the (especially if a small) article. โ JJJ(say hello)23:25, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@Sam Sailor: Hey Sam, sorry I took so long to respond and fix this issue. It appears that the issue was because the inapplicable tag was included in a {{multiple issues}} tag. I believe I have fixed the issue. If you encounter this issue again, please let me know. โ TheJJJunk(say hello)22:48, 12 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
ARA.js will occasionally freeze. I tried to blank my common.js, vector.js and global.js and only run ARA, and still, it happens. When I insert a citation in <ref>...</ref> tags, *bamm* it halts. The console says:
Error: Script terminated by timeout at: index.php:805:17

This only happen occasionally. I have tried to think about if the pages on which it happens have anything in common, but I see no pattern. Still it is a great tool, thank you once again. Hope you are well. SamSailor16:30, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
